If anyone is interested in watching a TV series that is takes place in ENGLAND during 1890 (as close as you get to this game), BBC has a current series titled

Ripper Street

I recommend watching it for British and American personalities of that time period, word choices, and everyday life that occurs.  Andrew is a fabulous storyteller, I figure we can do our best to add to his colorful tales.

Feel free to post other TV shows, Movies, or books that take place during this period.

Thanks for this Ryan. I rarely watch much television (beyond football and University Challenge) tending to concentrate more on books personally. They show the occasional Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films, which are good for atmosphere. I am sure there are other examples?

I quite enjoyed Ripper Street, the first series trumped the second, but still worth a look.

Has season two of Copper started?

On a flight back from the EU, I saw the first few minutes of a movie called Filth - it had X-Men's First Class' Professor Xavior, James McAvoy as the anti hero. I can not find it on Netflix so it may only be released in the EU market. I can't comment on the quality but the first 10 mins had a 'Copper' feel to it.
